Aerovias DAP

Aerovias DAP (IATA: V5, ICAO: DAP) is a Chilean regional carrier established in 1980 with over 36 years of continuous operation and a strong safety record. Based at Presidente Carlos Ibáñez del Campo International Airport in Punta Arenas, the airline serves the remote regions of Chilean and Argentinean Patagonia with both scheduled and charter services.

The airline is particularly known for its operations to Antarctica, operated under the Antarctic Airways brand, making it a vital connection for scientific expeditions, tourism, and logistics to the southernmost continent. DAP also operates throughout Patagonia, serving communities and industries in one of the world's most challenging aviation environments.

Aerovias DAP operates a specialized fleet of regional turboprops and regional jets, including the Avro RJ85 and RJ100 for higher-capacity routes, alongside essential smaller aircraft such as the DHC-6 Twin Otter, Cessna 402, and Beechcraft King Air for remote airstrip operations. This diverse fleet reflects the airline's role as a lifeline for isolated settlements and expedition support.
