The airline operates three major hubs: Beijing Capital International Airport, Shanghai Pudong International Airport, and Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport. These strategic bases enable efficient domestic and international connectivity throughout China and beyond. Air China's network spans domestic routes, intra-Asia services, and long-haul flights to Europe and Oceania.
Air China's fleet consists of modern Airbus and Boeing aircraft, including narrow-body jets (A319, A320, A321, and Boeing 737) for regional services, wide-body aircraft (A330, A350, Boeing 777, and Boeing 787) for long-haul routes, and Boeing 747 for premium capacity operations. As of 31 December 2025, the airline operates a fleet of 537,964 aircraft including subsidiaries. The PhoenixMiles frequent-flyer program rewards regular passengers across the network.
