Air Koryo fleet

Air Koryo operates a fleet of Soviet and Russian-built aircraft, selected for reliability on regional routes across Northeast Asia. The fleet comprises turboprops for shorter distances and jet-powered aircraft for longer international services.

Turboprop models such as the Antonov An-24 and Antonov An-148 provide efficient service on regional routes, while the Ilyushin Il-76 cargo variant supports freight operations. Jet-powered aircraft including the Tupolev Tu-154M and Tu-204 handle longer-range international flights, offering greater speed and payload capacity for scheduled passenger and cargo services. These aircraft types have proven track records in Soviet and post-Soviet operations, prioritising durability and serviceability in regional networks.
