El Al offers online check-in for eligible passengers, typically opening 24 hours before departure. This service helps you save time at the airport and proceed directly to security and boarding gates.
Steps for online check-in:
- Visit elal.co.il and locate the online check-in portal
- Enter your booking reference and last name
- Review your flight details and seat selection options
- Select your seat (if not pre-assigned) or confirm your existing seat
- Answer security questions as required
- Download and save your boarding pass, or request it sent via email
Practical tip: Complete online check-in as soon as the 24-hour window opens to secure preferred seating and minimize check-in desk queues at the airport.
Can I check in at the airport if I don't use online check-in?
Yes, traditional check-in counters are available at Ben Gurion and other airports served by El Al. However, arrive earlier than for online check-in passengers, as airport processing may take longer.
Do I need to print my boarding pass?
A mobile boarding pass (saved in your email or airline app) is typically accepted. However, printing a physical copy can be helpful as a backup, particularly for international flights.
