Hawaiian Airlines operates four aircraft families tailored to different mission profiles. The Boeing 717, a twin-engine narrow-body jet, is used primarily for short-range interisland flights, offering efficiency on frequent, high-frequency routes within Hawaii. The Airbus A321, another narrow-body type, provides additional capacity and range for both interisland and some mainland routes.

For longer routes to the US mainland and select international destinations, Hawaiian Airlines deploys the Boeing 787 Dreamliner, a modern wide-body twin-engine aircraft known for fuel efficiency, passenger comfort, and long-range capability. The Airbus A330, a large wide-body twin-engine aircraft, serves similar long-haul routes with higher capacity, making it ideal for peak-season flights and popular mainland destinations.
