Japan Air Commuter does not currently offer online check-in through its website. All passengers must check in at the airport ticket counter or designated check-in zones. For regional flights, arrive at least 60 minutes before departure for domestic services to allow time for check-in, baggage processing, and security screening.
- Arrive at Kagoshima Airport or your departure airport at least 60 minutes before flight time
- Proceed to the Japan Air Commuter check-in counter with your booking reference and valid identification
- Present your passport (for international connections) or ID card (domestic flights)
- Check in baggage and collect your boarding pass
- Proceed through security screening and proceed to your gate
Practical tip: Regional airports typically have shorter queues than major hubs; arrive on time but avoid excessive early arrival, as facilities may be limited.
Does Japan Air Commuter offer mobile boarding passes?
Mobile boarding passes are not currently available. All passengers receive paper boarding passes at airport check-in. Retain your boarding pass for the duration of your journey.
What documents do I need for check-in?
For domestic flights: valid government-issued photo ID (driver's license or national ID card). For international connections: valid passport. Have your booking reference ready (usually in your confirmation email).
