Lao Airlines operates two aircraft families:
The Airbus A320 forms the backbone of the fleet for mainline regional services. This single-aisle jet carries 150–180 passengers depending on cabin configuration and is used on longer regional routes connecting Vientiane to major hubs in Thailand, Vietnam, and Cambodia.
The ATR 72 is a twin-engine turboprop with a typical capacity of 70 passengers. It operates secondary regional routes and services smaller airports where runway length or passenger volume makes larger jets uneconomical, extending Lao Airlines' network reach across Southeast Asia.
