How online check-in works
Malaysia Airlines offers online check-in for passengers holding electronic tickets. Online check-in typically opens 24 hours before scheduled departure and must be completed before the check-in counter closes (usually 1–2 hours before domestic flights, 2–3 hours before international flights).
- Visit www.malaysiaairlines.com and navigate to the check-in section.
- Enter your booking reference and last name.
- Confirm passenger details and select seats if available.
- Download or print your boarding pass.
Practical tip: Complete online check-in as early as possible to secure preferred seating and avoid queues at the airport. Note that baggage must still be dropped at the airport counter.
