Sounds Air fleet

Sounds Air operates a fleet of two turboprop aircraft types, both single and twin-engine models designed for regional operations. The Cessna 208 is a single-engine turboprop used for smaller regional routes and scenic flights, offering economy and access to shorter airstrips. The Pilatus PC-12 is a more capable twin-engine turboprop providing greater payload and range for longer regional routes and varied operating conditions.

Both aircraft are purpose-built for New Zealand's regional aviation requirements, offering flexibility on unprepared and short runways that larger jets cannot access.
