Fleet
SyrianAir (IATA: RB, ICAO: SYR) is the flag carrier of Syria, established in 1946. The airline is headquartered in Damascus at the Social Insurance Building on Yusuf al-Azma Square and operates primarily from Damascus International Airport, its main hub. After Damascus International Airport reopened, SyrianAir resumed full operations in January 2025 and operated its first international commercial flight on 7 January 2025 to Sharjah.
The airline's fleet comprises a mix of aircraft types suited to both passenger and cargo operations. Its narrowbody fleet includes the Airbus A320 for regional services, while the widebody Airbus A340 handles longer routes. Regional connectivity is supported by ATR 72 turboprops. The airline also operates Soviet-era aircraft including the Ilyushin IL-76 for cargo operations and the Tupolev Tu-134B for passenger services, reflecting historical fleet composition and current operational needs.
SyrianAir is a member of the Arab Air Carriers' Organization and maintains a frequent flyer programme for regular passengers. The airline's network focuses on regional Middle Eastern connections, with service to destinations including the United Arab Emirates. Operational capacity and route network continue to expand following the resumption of full commercial operations.
