Aircraft

Transwest Air operates a versatile fleet designed for regional service in Canada's northern environment. The aircraft mix includes two main categories: passenger turboprops and specialized helicopters.
Passenger Aircraft: The Saab 340 and Beechcraft 1900 form the backbone of scheduled service, offering reliable 30–50 seat capacity on medium routes. De Havilland Twin Otters and King Air variants provide flexibility for smaller communities and unprepared airstrips, essential for reaching Saskatchewan's remote regions. Cessna piston aircraft (185 Skywagon, 310) supplement shorter hops and charter operations.
Helicopter Operations: Bell 206, 205, and 407 helicopters enable specialized missions including aerial work, emergency transport, and access to locations without airstrips. This diverse equipment portfolio reflects Transwest Air's commitment to serving communities of all sizes across challenging terrain.
