How online check-in works
Online check-in opens 24 hours before your departure and is available via aircanada.com or the Air Canada mobile app. There are no fees for online check-in. Check-in closes 45 minutes before domestic flights and 60 minutes before international flights.
- Visit aircanada.com or open the Air Canada mobile app.
- Enter your booking reference and last name.
- Select your flight and passengers.
- Choose seats (fees apply for preferred seating on some fares).
- Add baggage information if purchasing additional bags.
- Confirm your check-in and download your boarding pass.
Practical tip: Complete online check-in shortly after the 24-hour window opens, especially for busy routes, to secure your preferred seat and avoid last-minute rush.
