Asiana Airlines (IATA: OZ, ICAO: AAR) is South Korea's second-largest carrier, established in 1988. The airline is headquartered in Seoul and maintains two main hubs: Incheon International Airport and Gimpo International Airport, serving as gateways for both long-haul and domestic travel.
The network spans 90 international routes, 14 domestic routes, and 27 cargo routes across Asia-Pacific, Europe, North America, and the Middle East. Asiana operates a modern, predominantly Airbus fleet including the A380, A350, and A321neo alongside Boeing widebodies, positioning the airline for both premium long-haul service and efficient regional operations.
Important note: Asiana Airlines is merging into Korean Air, with the Asiana brand retiring around December 17, 2026. The airline is currently a Star Alliance member and will transition to SkyTeam upon completion of the merger. Asiana also owns Air Seoul (low-cost carrier) and Air Busan (regional carrier), extending its market reach.
