CommuteAir's fleet consists of Embraer regional jets, primarily the ERJ-145, a 50–70 seat turbofan aircraft designed for short- to medium-range regional routes. These aircraft are efficient for connecting secondary and tertiary markets to major United Airlines hubs, offering good fuel economy and reliable performance on routes typically under 1,000 miles.

The ERJ-145's compact cabin size means limited overhead bin space and narrower aisles compared to mainline aircraft. This design is optimal for CommuteAir's role as a regional feeder carrier, allowing the airline to serve smaller airports with shorter runways while maintaining profitability on lower-density routes. The modern, well-maintained fleet supports CommuteAir's daily operation of over 1,600 weekly flights across its network.
