Isles of Scilly Skybus fleet

Isles of Scilly Skybus operates a small, purpose-built fleet of nine regional aircraft. The fleet comprises two aircraft families: the Britten-Norman Islander BN-2A-21, an 8-seat twin-engine monoplane, and the De Havilland Canada DHC-6 Twin Otter, a 19-seat twin-engine utility aircraft. Both types are robust, proven designs for regional operations.

The Islander aircraft are used for shorter routes and lower-capacity services, while the Twin Otter provides increased seating capacity for busier routes or peak-season demand. Both aircraft are well-suited to operations from smaller airfields such as Land's End and can handle the maritime and coastal weather conditions typical of the southwestern United Kingdom. The fleet's composition reflects the airline's operational focus on reliability and efficiency on short regional routes.
