SATA Air operates a compact, modern regional fleet designed for island and short-haul European routes. The fleet comprises two aircraft families:

Bombardier CRJ-200LR – A twin-engine regional jet offering greater range and speed, deployed on longer regional routes and services requiring higher cruise performance. This aircraft provides a balance of capacity and efficiency for routes connecting the Azores to mainland Portugal and nearby European destinations.

Bombardier Q400 NextGen – A modern turboprop aircraft optimized for shorter-haul island operations and smaller airports. The Q400 NextGen excels in regional connectivity, fuel efficiency, and operating flexibility, making it ideal for inter-island services and routes with smaller traffic volumes.

Together, these aircraft enable SATA Air to serve its regional network cost-effectively while maintaining modern safety and comfort standards.
