Aircraft

Sunwest Aviation operates a modern regional fleet optimized for Western Canadian routes. The airline uses three aircraft types: the De Havilland Canada Dash 8, a proven regional turboprop with good fuel economy and range for medium-haul regional routes; the Beechcraft 1900, a smaller twin-turboprop aircraft ideal for shorter routes and lower-capacity regional services; and the Bombardier Q300, a modern regional turboprop offering passenger comfort and efficiency on typical regional sectors.

These aircraft are particularly suited to regional operations, with the ability to operate from shorter airfields and unprepared surfaces where necessary. The fleet composition allows Sunwest to optimize capacity and operating costs across its network of regional destinations.
