Aeromar

Aeromar (IATA: VW, ICAO: TAO) was Mexico's regional carrier, founded in 1987 and headquartered at Mexico City International Airport. The airline specialized in connecting smaller Mexican cities to the capital and served the domestic market with a focus on regional accessibility.

Aeromar operated a fleet of turboprop aircraft-the ATR 42 and ATR 72-well-suited for shorter regional routes and airfields with limited infrastructure. These twin-engine aircraft allowed the airline to serve communities that larger jets could not efficiently reach, making regional connectivity a core part of Mexico's domestic network.

The airline maintained operations for over three decades but ceased flying on February 15, 2023. Passengers with existing bookings were advised to contact the airline or their booking agents for rebooking options and refunds during the transition period.
