About the airline

Volaris is Mexico's largest ultra-low-cost airline, founded in 2005. From bases in Mexico City, Guadalajara and Tijuana it operates an all-Airbus fleet across Mexico, the United States and Central America, selling unbundled fares where every extra is optional.

Fleet

Volaris (IATA: Y4, ICAO: VOI) is Mexico's ultra-low-cost leader and one of the largest airlines in the country by passengers carried. Since 2005 it has grown a dense network across Mexico plus cross-border routes to the United States and Central America, operating from bases including Mexico City, Guadalajara and Tijuana.

The model is strictly unbundled: rock-bottom base fares, with bags, seats and flexibility sold as add-ons. The all-Airbus A320-family fleet keeps costs and fares among the lowest in the region.
