Air Botswana operates a practical mix of turboprop and regional jet aircraft, each selected for specific service requirements across southern Africa.

ATR 42 and ATR 72: These twin-engine turboprops form the backbone of Air Botswana's regional network. They serve shorter routes to smaller airports and regional destinations where runway length and passenger volume make turboprops economical and reliable. Both types offer good fuel efficiency and proven performance on regional African routes.

Embraer E-170: This regional jet handles longer-distance services and higher-capacity routes. It offers faster cruise speeds and greater range than turboprops, making it suitable for longer regional links and routes requiring daily or multiple-daily frequencies. The E-170 provides a comfortable cabin for regional business and leisure travellers.
