Air Deccan (IATA: DN, ICAO: DKN) was an Indian regional airline founded in 2003 and based in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. The airline commenced operations on 23 December 2003 as a subsidiary of Deccan Charters, operating regional air services across India.
The airline operated from its hub at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport (COK), serving regional destinations with a focused network strategy. Air Deccan specialised in connecting smaller cities and towns, filling an important role in India's regional aviation landscape during its operational period.
The fleet consisted of Beechcraft 1900D turboprop aircraft, which are twin-engine commuter planes well-suited to regional operations and shorter routes. Air Deccan ceased operations on 5 April 2020 following the COVID-19 pandemic and subsequent lockdown measures in India.
