Air Niugini fleet

Air Niugini's fleet of 25 aircraft consists primarily of two aircraft families. Boeing jets (737 and 767 models) form the backbone of the airline's international and longer regional routes, offering greater range and capacity for services to Australia, Southeast Asia, and the South Pacific. Fokker regional jets (70 and 100 series) are deployed on shorter regional and domestic routes, providing efficient operations on less densely travelled segments within Papua New Guinea and to nearby island nations.

This mixed-fleet strategy allows Air Niugini to optimise fuel efficiency and seating capacity based on route demand, balancing international competitiveness with cost-effective domestic and regional service.
