Express Air, operating under IATA code XN and ICAO code XAR, was an Indonesian regional airline founded in 2003. The carrier was based in Makassar, East Indonesia, and primarily served regional routes connecting smaller cities across the Indonesian archipelago. The airline also maintained operations from Raja Haji Fisabilillah International Airport in Tanjung Pinang as an additional hub.
The airline's fleet consisted of ATR 42 turboprops and Boeing 737 narrow-body jets, a combination typical of regional carriers serving both shorter routes with limited passenger demand and busier regional corridors. This mixed fleet allowed Express Air to optimize capacity and fuel efficiency across its network.
