LIAT operates a fleet of two modern regional aircraft types, both optimized for Caribbean operations. The ATR 42 is a twin-engine turboprop well-suited for short-haul regional routes connecting island airports with shorter runways and limited facilities. The Embraer ERJ 145 is a regional jet offering greater speed and range, deployed on longer Caribbean routes requiring higher cruise speeds and improved passenger comfort on extended flights.
Both aircraft types are reliable workhorses in regional aviation and allow LIAT to serve a diverse network of destinations across varying airport infrastructure in the Eastern Caribbean.
