Shenzhen Airlines is a major Chinese carrier based at Shenzhen Bao'an International Airport, operating a fleet of over 230 aircraft across domestic and international routes. A Star Alliance member since 2012, it is among China's largest airlines by fleet size and is majority-owned by Air China.
Fleet
Shenzhen Airlines (IATA: ZH, ICAO: CSZ) was founded in 1992 and has grown into one of China's leading carriers. The airline operates a modern fleet of Airbus and Boeing narrowbody and widebody aircraft, serving both domestic and international markets from its main hub at Shenzhen Bao'an International Airport.
As a Star Alliance member since 2012, Shenzhen Airlines maintains an extensive network with 66 offices globally as of November 2025. The airline is sixth-largest by fleet size in China and operates a fleet of approximately 230 aircraft. Its ownership structure reflects strategic partnerships: Air China holds 51% and Shenzhen International Holdings holds 49%. The airline also owns an 80% stake in Kunming Airlines, extending its regional reach.
The fleet comprises Airbus A319, A320, and A330 aircraft alongside Boeing 737s, providing capacity for short-haul regional flights and longer international routes. Shenzhen Airlines is known for frequent-flyer benefits through its PhoenixMiles program, rewarding loyalty across the Star Alliance network.
