The carrier was established in November 2001, but ceased operations in June 2007 after being banned from EU airspace by the European Commission Air Safety Commission. Following restructuring and compliance improvements, the airline resumed flights in mid-2016 and obtained its Foreign Air Operator Certificate in 2025, signalling its return to international operations.
