Scandinavian Airlines operates a modern, diverse fleet of over 135 aircraft divided into three main families:
Narrowbody Aircraft: Airbus A319, A320, A320neo, and A321neo form the backbone of SAS's network, serving short- and medium-haul European routes. The newer -neo variants offer improved fuel efficiency and reduced operating costs.
Regional Aircraft: The ATR 72 turboprop and Bombardier CRJ900 jet handle thin regional routes and smaller Scandinavian airports, connecting secondary cities to the main hubs.
Widebody Aircraft: The Airbus A330 and A350 provide long-haul capacity for intercontinental routes, with the A350 being among the newest and most efficient widebody aircraft in commercial aviation. This mixed fleet allows SAS to optimize route economics and passenger comfort.
