Air Iceland operates a mixed fleet suited to regional and short-haul operations. The Airbus A321 and Boeing 737 are narrow-body jets used for slightly longer regional routes and higher-capacity services. The Boeing 757 and Boeing 767 are larger narrow-body and wide-body jets that provide additional capacity and range for regional and occasional longer services.
The De Havilland Canada Dash 8 is a regional turboprop aircraft optimized for shorter routes, smaller communities, and unprepared airfields typical of Iceland's network. This aircraft type is fuel-efficient and well-suited to the airline's domestic and regional operations, allowing Air Iceland to serve smaller airports and communities where jet operations may not be practical.
