Aklak Air does not offer online check-in through a digital system. All check-in is handled in person at the airport. Arrive at Inuvik (Mike Zubko) Airport at least 60 minutes before departure for domestic flights to allow time for check-in, baggage handling, and security procedures.
- Arrive at the airport 60 minutes before your scheduled departure
- Proceed to the Aklak Air counter with your booking confirmation and valid photo identification
- Declare any special baggage (sports equipment, fragile items, hazardous materials) during check-in
- Receive your boarding pass and baggage tags
- Proceed to the departure area
Practical tip: For remote communities with smaller airport facilities, check-in procedures may differ. Contact the airline in advance if your destination is a very small community-staff will advise on local check-in protocols.
What identification do I need to check in?
A valid government-issued photo ID is required for all passengers. This includes a driver's license, passport, or other official identification. For domestic Canadian travel, your passport is widely accepted.
Can I check in by phone for remote communities?
Contact Aklak Air directly at the numbers above if your departure point is a remote community without standard airport infrastructure. The airline can arrange alternative check-in procedures suited to local conditions.
