Avianca's backbone is the Airbus A320 family - A319, A320 and A321 - covering domestic and regional networks. Long-haul routes to Europe and the Americas are flown by the Boeing 787 Dreamliner, while ATR 72 turboprops serve short domestic hops.
The airline runs one of the larger fleets in Latin America and has been steadily adding fuel-efficient A320neo-family aircraft.
