Azul is one of Brazil's largest airlines, founded in 2008 by David Neeleman. From hubs in Campinas (Viracopos) and Belo Horizonte it serves more Brazilian cities than any other carrier, with a diverse fleet from ATR turboprops to Airbus wide-bodies.
Fleet
Azul Linhas Aéreas (IATA: AD, ICAO: AZU) is one of the three largest airlines in Brazil and the carrier with the widest domestic coverage - it serves more Brazilian cities than any competitor. Its main hubs are Viracopos Airport in Campinas and Confins (Tancredo Neves) in Belo Horizonte.
Founded in 2008 by David Neeleman (also behind JetBlue), Azul built its network on connecting smaller cities with a mixed fleet: ATR 72 turboprops, Embraer E-jets, and the Airbus A320neo and A330 for trunk and international routes to the Americas and Europe.
