Iberia Express fleet

Iberia Express operates a homogeneous fleet of 25 Airbus narrowbody aircraft, comprising the A320 and A321 families. This single-aircraft-type strategy reduces pilot training, maintenance costs, and spare parts complexity-key cost drivers for low-cost carriers.

The A320 (seating approximately 180–190 passengers) handles the bulk of intra-European services, particularly dense routes from Madrid to secondary European cities. The A321 (seating approximately 220+ passengers) extends range and capacity, enabling longer flights to North Africa, the Canary Islands, and selected Mediterranean routes, as well as occasional intercontinental services.

Both aircraft are modern, fuel-efficient jets built for high-utilization schedules typical of budget operations. The fleet's youth and standardization enable Iberia Express to maintain competitive unit costs while meeting European environmental standards.
