Aircraft

TAROM operates a mixed fleet designed for both mainline and regional service. Narrow-body jets (Boeing 737 and Airbus A318) form the backbone of the fleet, handling European routes and higher-capacity regional services. These aircraft provide efficient fuel consumption and are suitable for short- to medium-haul operations typical of European networks.
Regional turboprops (ATR 42 and ATR 72) serve smaller airports and lower-density routes across Romania and neighboring regions. These aircraft are cost-effective for routes with lighter traffic and allow TAROM to maintain connectivity to secondary cities that cannot support jet operations.
With 14 aircraft total, the fleet is sized to cover TAROM's 28-destination network without excessive capacity. The mix of jet and turboprop types reflects the airline's role as both a regional hub carrier and a link between Bucharest and major European destinations.
