How online check-in works
Online check-in is a free, convenient service accessible 48 hours before your flight. You can complete check-in via the Air India website or mobile app by entering your booking reference and last name. The process allows you to select seats and download an electronic boarding pass instantly.
Check-in timing:
- Open the Air India website or app 48 hours before departure.
- Enter your booking reference (PNR) and last name.
- Review and select your seat if not already assigned.
- Download your electronic boarding pass to your device or email.
Important note: Online check-in does not include baggage drop. You must visit an airport baggage drop counter to check your bags. For domestic flights, online check-in closes 60–75 minutes before departure; for international flights, it closes 60–90 minutes before departure.
