Aircraft

Air India operates a modern, mixed fleet suited to its diverse domestic and international network. The fleet comprises short- to medium-range narrow-body aircraft-the Airbus A319, A320, and A321-which efficiently serve domestic routes and regional Asia-Pacific flights with good fuel economy and rapid turnaround times.
For long-haul international services, Air India deploys wide-body aircraft: the Boeing 777 and Boeing 787 Dreamliner, which offer excellent range, fuel efficiency, and passenger comfort on routes to North America, Europe, and the Middle East. The Boeing 747, though operated in limited numbers, provides additional long-haul capacity. The new Airbus A350 adds modern, fuel-efficient wide-body capability to the fleet, offering premium cabin configurations and extended range for network expansion.
