IndiGo Airlines fleet

IndiGo's fleet consists of three aircraft families optimized for different route segments. The Airbus A320 is the workhorse for high-frequency domestic and short-haul international routes, offering 180–189 seats in typical configuration. The Airbus A321, a stretched variant, serves medium-density and longer domestic routes with approximately 220+ seats, improving unit economics on busy corridors.

The ATR 72 turboprop handles regional routes to smaller airports, enabling network reach to tier-2 and tier-3 cities where jet operations are less economical. This mixed-fleet strategy allows IndiGo to match aircraft size to demand and optimize fuel efficiency across its 128-destination network.
